Section 8, featuring Dolph Lundgren, Ryan Kwanten, and Scott Adkins, gets a new intense and action-packed trailer from AMC. After “the two people he loved the most are gone,” the new teaser shows former special forces member Jake (Kwanten) getting released from jail. He joins the shadowy Section 8 group, which has the authority to “remove any dangers, wherever in the globe.” The trailer, which lasts for about two minutes, shows the crew of assassins carrying out a variety of tasks, including the murder of a senator.
At this point in the tale, the central conflict is established when Jake discovers that the mysterious organisation is not what it seems. Jake shows no remorse for the murders of his wife and children, and yet Dermot Mulroney’s character, Sam Ramsey, seems intent to recruit him for the secret organisation while he is in jail. Tom Mason, played by Lundgren, is Jake’s old commanding officer and a trusted friend who is helping him sort things out. The teaser also reveals that Jake can only escape by immersing himself further in the struggle and ultimately betraying the people he has been working with up to this point.
Mickey Rourke, Jessica Medina, Tracy Perez, Robert LaSardo Maurice Compte, Geoffrey Blake, Paul Sloan, Mary Christina Brown, and a slew of others appear in this action film directed by Christian Sesma (Vigilante Diaries, Take Back). Also, Justin Furstenfeld, lead vocalist for Blue October, makes his cinematic debut in this. Scriptwriters Chad Law (The Hit List, Black Water) and Josh Ridgway (The Last Stand) collaborated with director Brian Sesma (The Sector, Howlers).
In Section 8, Lundgren and Adkins reunite for the sixth time after working together on films like The Expendables 2, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, Legendary, and Castle Falls. Adkins has Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday and Kean Reeves’ John Wick 4 on the horizon, while the next movies starring Dolph Lundgren are Come Out Fighting, The Expandable 4, and Operation Seawolf. The Kindred actor Kwanten will also appear in the next film The Portrait. On September 23rd, you may see Section 8 in cinemas and on AMC+.
