Western ‘Horizon’ Thomas Haden Church has been Casted, Release Date, Synopsis & Cast Details

Frontier life is becoming a tad crowded. Horizon, starring Kevin Costner, has reportedly cast Thomas Haden Church in a new role. The Oscar-nominated actor will star with Kevin Costner, Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Luke Wilson, and Jamie Campbell Bower.
After his work in Alexander Payne’s Sideways, Thomas Haden Church received an Oscar nomination. He was also the main attraction in the hit comedy Wings from the ’90s. But he is probably best known to current audiences for his roles as the Spider-Man villain Sandman in Spider-Man 3 and Spider-Man: No Way Home. After appearing alongside Robert Duvall in the highly regarded miniseries Broken Trial, Church will return to the Western genre with Horizon.

He is also known for his appearances in the films Easy A, Peanut Putter Falcon, Divorce, and John Carter. A Peacock movie based on the Twisted Metal games will include him shortly. Horizon is an upcoming film that will include an ensemble cast investigating the trials faced by pioneers during a fifteen-year period. From the often-resolute and cruel settlers to the native people who already called the American West home, every one of these individuals will be shown in the film from their own unique points of view.

Church’s personality has not been revealed. It will be Costner’s first picture as a director since 2003’s Open Range, also a western. To be precise, Costner’s next film Horizon will mark only his fourth time directing a feature film. In any case, he has more than established himself as a filmmaker, as his first film, 1990’s Dances With Wolves, won both the Best Director and Best Picture Academy Awards. Furthermore, Costner is claimed to have poured his heart and soul into making Horizon.

This is the first screenplay either he or author Jon Baird has ever written. In addition to starring in the picture, Costner will also serve as a producer under his Territory Pictures company. It has also been said that Horizon is meant to launch a trilogy. Next Monday, in Utah, filming will begin on Horizon.

Synopsis
Horizon covers the 15 years before and after the Civil War and focuses on the growth and colonisation of the American West in its many forms throughout that time. From the continual onslaught of nature to encounters with the indigenous people who inhabited the area to the doggedness and, at times, the cruelty of those who attempted to colonise it, the epic voyage, as seen through the eyes of many, is packed with danger and intrigue.
