Here’s What to Anticipate (speculative)
To reiterate, no spoilers for the impending Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 195 have been made public as of this writing. A large number of death flags for Noritoshi Kamo, who has been a fan favourite since his recent reappearance, is all that fans have to go on when guessing about the events of the upcoming issue. Noritoshi reflected on his past with the Kamo family in Chapter 194, with most of his attention focused on his estranged mother and the new life she may have found while they were separated.
This follows his time spent battling Naoya, during which he appeared willing to give his life to protect Maki so that she may carry on the struggle. Naoya reminds out that no matter how skilled he is, utilising his own blood in his Cursed Technique would kill him in the end. But Noritoshi stays the course to the very conclusion of the problem, thus indicating that he is willing to sacrifice his own life so that the fire might be kept going by others. Suddenly, two unidentified sorcerers appear and cry “sumo” and “katana” as they appear to charge Cursed Spirit Naoya.
The issue concludes with this final panel, suggesting these characters will make their debut in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 195, as hinted at by the series creator and illustrator Gege Akutami. When these fresh soldiers arrive in the following issue, Maki will likely rise again in an effort to overwhelm Naoya with sheer numbers and stop any further casualties. Despite the fact that this is most certainly her goal, Noritoshi’s vital signs are too alarmingly low for him not to be on his last legs at this point. Nonetheless, readers shouldn’t fret over any fatalities in future issues or subsequent events.
A turning point for whichever sorcerer is the arc’s protagonist usually occurs when new supporting characters are introduced in The Culling Game. These two new sorcerers (who, at first glance, look to be Ancient Sorcerers) may be able to easily overpower Naoya on their own. This would give Maki more time to recuperate and provide Noritoshi with a chance to make a clean getaway. Such a reversal wouldn’t be too surprising for fans, given that ancient sorcerers are often more powerful than their modern counterparts. However, by the end of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 195, readers may anticipate that the Naoya war will have a definite course established. There are a lot of potential paths forward for Akutami, but by the end of Chapter 195 of Jujutsu Kaisen, readers will have a good idea of what to expect.
