The third season of Titans will soon be available in Blu-Ray and DVD this Halloween

In what has become a golden age for superhero television, DC’s Titans stands out as one of the most original series of the past few years among the many options available to comic book enthusiasts. Season three of the HBO Max original series, which has been widely praised for its adult, dark take on the Teen Titans, will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 25. Prices for the DVD and Blu-ray discs are respectively $24.98 and $29.98.
All 13 episodes from Season 3 of Titans will be included, along with a plethora of heroic bonus materials.

Inside the Character features on Barbara Gordon and Red Hood are included, as with all new featurettes including “Titans Expanded,” “Titans: Worlds inside Worlds,” and “Welcome to Gotham.” In Season 3, the Titans’ relocation to Gotham City after Batman’s absence and Jason Todd’s “death” was a major plot point. The season was heavily influenced by the famous Death in the Family narrative arc, which gave the show the opportunity to introduce legendary characters like Tim Drake and Barbara Gordon, and thus grow the Bat-Family. Season 3 of Titans was a marked improvement over the first two and told a gripping tale of a dysfunctional family (especially the Bat-Family) because of its focus on the show’s deep interpersonal interactions.

The introduction of Barbara Gordon, played by Savannah Welch, was a breath of new air for the show, and it gave the always grim-faced Nightwing a chance to show his softer side. Welch’s confidence in the part of Barbara and her wonderful connection with Brenton Thwaites also contributed much. The fact that Red Hood was such a prominent antagonist this season also forced Thwaites’ Nightwing to confront his own shortcomings as a character. Red Hood’s adversary, Nightwing, instead of Batman made for some dramatic plot twists and exciting action scenes.

Given their history together in the show, every argument between them felt like a tragedy. Brother Blood, Mother Mayhem, and Jinx, all of whom have significant links to the Teen Titans, will be featured prominently in Season 4, which will shortly premiere on HBO Max. Season 3 of Titans will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on October 25. This will give you plenty of time to get some inspiration for a scary costume. Titans seasons 1-3 are now available to stream in their entirety on HBO Max while we wait for a physical release of season 3 and further information on season 4.
