A new teaser for the forthcoming second season of the magical dark fantasy series Fate: The Winx Saga on Netflix gives viewers a glimpse into what the pupils of the Alfea magical boarding school will be up to. The live-action series is based on the popular Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club, created by Iginio Straffi, and follows the coming-of-age story of five fairies as they deal with typical teen issues like love and rivalry while learning to use their fantastical powers to defeat the monsters that lurk in the Otherworld.
On September 16, the streamer will begin airing the second season of the show. The trailer’s opening half focuses heavily on the teen element of the genre. Bloom (Abigail Cowen) is reminded that she is still only a teenager and should enjoy her teenage years despite the pressure she and her other students at Alfea endure as they learn to control their powers and study under the harsh leadership of Rosalind (Miranda Richardson).
As she and her classmates figure out what they want out of life and what makes them happy, they will also be having parties, riding horses across the countryside, and engaging in hot romances. For Bloom, who is still grappling with questions about her past, trying to look ahead is a daunting task. Alfea’s fairies are disappearing, and it’s not just because of their own problems or the difficulties of growing up. Take care of whatever is abducting the pupils and viciously harming others, then “magic, love, fairies would cease to exist” in the world. Bloom and her resurrected fairy pals, along with the rest of the student body, will need to work together to eliminate the danger once and for all.
In the wake of her takeover, Rosalind has begun working on her own secret project, increasing the intrigue and mystery surrounding the forthcoming season. Among the new cast members appearing in Season 2 is Paulina Chávez, who plays Terra’s niece Flora. For Season 2, we also have Hannah Van Der Westhuysen, Precious Mustapha, Eliot Salt, Elisha Applebaum, Danny Griffin, Sadie Soverall, Freddie Thorp, Theo Graham, Jacob Dudman, Brandon Grace, Robert James-Collier, Ken Duken, and Éanna Hardwicke.
Since making the switch to live-action, Fate: The Winx Saga has become a tremendous smash for Netflix under former The Vampire Diaries writer and producer Brian Young. There will be greater conflicts, more romance, and more complex plots about coming of age and shaping one’s destiny in Season 2. A behind-the-scenes video was posted earlier, giving fans a glimpse at the action and detailing what to expect in the upcoming season. To paraphrase Cowen, it seems like “a maelstrom of feeling and adventure.”

Synopsis
Alfea’s previous Headmistress Rosalind has returned with a stern hand and school is back in session. Due to the absence of the Burned Ones, Dowling’s “disappearance,” and Silva’s incarceration for treason, the Alfea of the previous year has matured with the addition of new magic, new relationships, and new faces. When fairies begin to vanish during the night, Bloom and her Suitemates soon realise there is a sinister force at work. One that must be halted before it wrecks the entire Otherworld.
