Earlier this week, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law crashed its way into Disney+. It was established in the premiere that Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, has a history in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that she would be joining the broader Marvel universe in future episodes. Many of the fascinating appearances we can expect to see in this fourth-wall breaching series have already been hinted at in the teasers, with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil being among the most anticipated.
Now, thanks to a brand new trailer, we get to see even more of the upcoming She-Hulk and Daredevil team-up. Teaser based on She-superhero Hulk’s identity only has 11 seconds, thus it can’t truly show off fresh material in depth. However, we do get one brand new view of our protagonist and the Man Without Fear standing side by side in what appears to be an abandoned structure. Despite the lack of background information and the fact that Daredevil’s face is obscured by the title card, this is the finest glimpse we have seen at the outfits of these two legendary characters. Daredevil’s new Netflix outfit retains the character’s signature yellow and red colour scheme, while She-Hulk is dressed in a purple and white jumpsuit based on her appearance in the comics.
It’s awesome that Daredevil is a part of this show; we still don’t know what crime they’re trying to investigate or in what episode(s) he’ll be appearing. It’s worth noting that many viewers fell in love with Cox’s portrayal of the character the moment his Netflix series premiered in 2015. The fact that both of these heroes are attorneys just adds to the excitement of this pairing. That will provide lots of room for them to get to know one another and compare notes. In addition, the tone of this programme is very different from the grimy antics of Daredevil on Netflix. After establishing She-backstory, Hulk’s rest of the show will take on the tone of a courtroom comedy procedural.
Since this is the case, it will be fascinating to observe how the authors adjust Daredevil to fit the setting. Daredevil’s first official Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, while brief, in Spider-Man: No Way Home offered lots of chuckles, so Cox can certainly carry off a more comedic take on the character. Seeing this low-level hero in She-Hulk is only a taste of what’s to store for Daredevil. Soon after this season concludes, Daredevil will make an appearance in Echo with Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, before he gets his own series on Disney+, appropriately dubbed Daredevil: Born Again.
