Yamato, a character many fans expected would join the Straw Hats’ crew, will remain in the closed country and will wait for his journey with Luffy and the group. This revelation comes as “One Piece” episode 1057 concludes the longest arc in the series, Wano. The next part, titled “Finale,” will be released on Sunday, and it will relate the story of the dying hour of the Straw Hats in Wano Kuni and how the country rebuilds itself after decades of suffering at the hands of its shogun, Orochi, and ultimate ruler, Kaido. From what we can gather from the synopsis that was leaked by industry insider Redon, the chapter opens with Wano residents sitting in an auditorium in the Flower Capital and being told a tale of the bravery of the Red Scabbards.
The instructor tells the tale in the form of a poem, describing the stormy night sky over Onigashima as the sky becomes darker and the roar of the beast becomes more audible. The lecturer concludes by stating that Kozuki Oden’s vassals took over to exact revenge for his murder. When they hear that Luffy and his crew are departing Wano, Momo, in dragon shape, along with Kinemon and Yamato, race to Tokage Port in Udon to see them go. In spite of Momo’s knowledge that Oden’s kid has requested the Straw Hats’ captain to join their crew, Yamato’s decision to stay with them comes as a surprise. Taking Yamato’s path as an example, becoming Kozuki Oden means doing things the correct way.
Because the Daimyo went all around Wano first, he plans to do the same. He has heard that venturing into the ocean is in the future. This raises the potential that Yamato will accompany the Straw Hats to their next location. If “One Piece” author Eiichiro Oda has had his way, Yamato will soon be spotted joyriding the Sunny and maybe even travel with the Straw Hats until they discover the One Piece, much like Oden did when he joined the Roger Pirates and stayed with them until they split. There’s a brief flashback to young Shogun Momonosuke’s grief at the death of his father in “One Piece” chapter 1057.
Even Oden’s kid is furious that Luffy didn’t say farewell, and he questions the former pirate’s moral fibre. Kinemon is frustrated by Luffy’s actions and demands an explanation for the Straw Hats leader’s rude behaviour toward the shogun. Kid, Law, and Luffy’s ships are getting ready to leave Tokage Port when Momo, Kinemon, and Yamato arrive. Law informs Luffy that their partnership is officially over and that he would go after their lives the next time they meet. Chopper bids farewell to Trafalgar, and Luffy just laughs it off.
When Momo and Yamato arrive at the port, Momo will transform back into a human and they will travel to Luffy’s location. While demanding to know why Luffy left without telling them, Kinemon brandishes his sword. But their false confidence collapses as Momo starts crying and begs Luffy to remain forever. Luffy gives Momo a present and explains that he and the other pirates have been waiting for the young shogun at the dock so that they could deliver it to him. Luffy gives him a huge Straw Hats flag as a present and says, “If you’re ever in a jam, just think back to all the exciting times you had at sea. You should store this in Wano Kuni.”
Additionally, Luffy reassures Momo, “Put this in the hands of any future threat if this happens! Tell them that any physical contact with you is an invitation to fight.” Luffy is also asked by Momo, “So…I am one of you,” Kinemon said, to which the Straw Hats’ leader replied, “Kinemon, Yamato, Momo if you ever decide you want to be a pirate, I will come for any of you.” However, I refuse to deal with wimps. I’m putting complete trust in you, Yamato.” He then gives the order for the ship to depart.
