Put away the cutlery! Expect Chucky any second now. Jennifer Tilly, aka our go-to Chucky news source, broke the big news on Twitter today that production on Season 2 of the USA and Syfy series is over. In a shot with Tilly, universe creator Don Mancini, Alex Vincent, and Christine Elise, the Tiffany Valentine actress commented, “Gonna miss these guys.” This was a significant moment in the making of the show. Mancini said, “You see me all the time haha,” and Tilly gushed, “Sometimes I miss you even while you’re in the room!” in the comments, giving us all the warm fuzzies we needed to get through the day. The second season of the programme began filming in April, and Tilly has been keeping us updated on her participation ever since.
Season 1 does a fantastic job of wrapping up loose ends to keep us hooked until we can get some answers to our burning concerns, but there are still many things we need to know. As the first season came to a close, viewers were left wondering what would become of Andy (Vincent), who had just boarded a truck full of Good Guy dolls. Nica (Fiona Dourif) was cruelly severed by Tiffany so that she would never have to worry about being abandoned again.
We’ll get to know the creepy doll better, and we’ll find out more about the serial murderer Charles Lee Ray, who’s trapped inside of it. The second season will include a number of returning cast members, including Tilly, Vincent, and Elise as well as Brad Douriff, Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and the twice-killed Devon Sawa. Also returning for Season 2 is Lachlan Watson of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as Chucky and Tiffany’s kid Glen/Glenda.
It will be intriguing to watch how the character, who has been absent from the franchise for over two decades, is used in the forthcoming season. Tilly’s sister, Golden Globe winner Meg Tilly, Bound co-stars Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano, and Tilly’s close friend and cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton Stracke, are all scheduled to make appearances. Lara Jean Chorostecki, Barbara Alyn Woods, and Tony Nappo will all make guest appearances. A trailer for the upcoming second season was published not too long ago, and it has already piqued the interest of viewers who are eager to find out what happens next in the saga of the cruel murder doll who keeps coming back for more. On October 5th, Season 2 of Chucky will premiere on both Syfy and USA.
