Chapter 170 of One-Punch Man: Expectations & Spoilers
Nothing regarding the manga’s upcoming story arc or narrative point is known at this time. But now that his story arc has over, Garou will no longer be the dominant figure in the manga. Even though he plays a role in the manga’s plot, he won’t have much of an impact. Chapter 170 of One Punch Man is also a chance to reflect on the past and recover some of the parts you may have forgotten. Saitama has ended the conflict and is now having Genos repaired. More than that, he has to save whatever little possessions remain in the Saitama man’s submerged flat. As a result of the conflict, he has to live in temporary quarters now. It’s possible that Garou will keep in mind everything that happens in the narrative in the future. In the prior chapter, he revealed that it was in fact him. However, he will have conflicting thoughts due to his current position and future recollections. Even now, he has some unresolved pride in his superiority. Then it won’t be that simple for him to shake hands with heroes. Likely, he’ll take Tareo and go into the shadows. This will appease his ego and allow him to make amends.
Chapter 170 of One Punch Man might have a return appearance by the main antagonistic Garou. It is now established that Garou has not abandoned his dark ways. He is prepared to die, but not ready to accept his fate. This has been an internal struggle for him. He is still human and so still capable of feeling emotion.
In the prior manga chapter, he ended up being the one to save his life. But there’s a lot going on here that the audience hasn’t seen yet. He did not go to avoid death, but rather to reflect on his life. An essential mystery was only hinted at in the previous chapter. For manga readers, the next chapter promises to be a deep intellectual journey.
After a while, Garou will get a flood of memories about his past actions. The ideas from the prior chapter did enter his mind. But with Garou’s ultimate decision, the drama will increase dramatically. His current location is a crossroads. To move the tale along, he must pick one of the options.
When Will One Punch Man 170 Be Published?

Review of Chapter 169
The aftermath of Garou’s defeat was discussed in Chapter 169 of One Punch Man. It was clear from Garou’s expression that the final strike had left him completely stunned. After Saitama’s finishing blow, he was at his lowest point. The action then transitioned to Genos and Saitama having their talk. Saitama told Genos that he always had the core in his hands. After inserting his wire activator into the core, Genos attempted to start it up.
Genos was stunned into immobility by the realisation. Visions of his own death, time travel, and the eventual vanquishing of the Garou filled his head. Everything that core had seen was transparent to him. Genos eventually understood that Saitama’s strength matched or exceeded any other. To find out why Genos was grinning, Saitama questioned him. In the end, Genos filled Saitama in on his upcoming victory over Garou. Then he came back to save his friends and family from the Garou. To rescue everyone, he crossed dimensions. But Saitama was unconcerned with such discussions. Even more so, he was curious as to how the Garou were doing.
A Runaway Garou!
The manga chapter before this one revealed Garou’s fragility. After his pride had been destroyed, he was willing to die. When Saitama delivered the killing blow, it knocked him out physically and mentally. Still, the heroes next to Garou saw this as an opening and killed him. They all proceeded to severely beat him. But the incredibly resilient bodies of Garou were impervious to its effects.
At that moment, however, a hero emerged from the throng and inquired of Garou as to the source of his incredible strength. Because becoming that powerful via monsterification alone is not possible, he questioned whether or not any God had given him his power. They were going to execute Garou when his nephew Tareo of Garou showed up. When the Heroes learned of the connection between the Garou and Tareo, they acted accordingly.
However, the plan was never to pause the killing. But the arrival of the King altered the dynamic completely. Blast recommended that Garou join the hero forces, and the execution ceased. It was a direct rejection from the Garou. At the very moment when Saitama and the others were talking about him, Garou made his escape. But Saitama assured everyone that he was completely safe.
