‘The Boys’ Season 4: Antony Starr and Chace Crawford in a New Image

Between Antony Starr and Chace Crawford, things are looking devilish – diabolically fun, that is! To pass the time while waiting for their flight, Starr and his co-stars from The Boys sipped on red and white wine, respectively, in a new snapshot posted to the actor’s Instagram account. We have no way of knowing if they’re still in line for the boarding call. As if it wasn’t enough to convince us that they were in an airline lounge, the second photograph shows the two first-class passengers sitting in those really luxurious lounge seats.

Fans of the Prime Video series may not identify Starr without his character’s distinctive bleach blonde hair, which is presently jet black because most of them wear baseball hats to hide their faces. Aside from Karl Urban’s confirmation that production will begin at the end of August, this is the first photo of the group on their way into the studio, so we’re just a little overjoyed. A few shocking sequences and hints at what’s to come in the fourth season of the comic book-turned-superhero parody series were left over from the third season finale.

Season 3 introduced a number of new Supes, including Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, who appeared on many occasions during the season. We also learned more about Black Noir, the man with no words (Nathan Mitchell). With that, we saw Homelander (Starr) and Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) grow in prominence, both of whom we can expect to see compete for the title of the season’s most feared villain. When Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), the narcissistic psychopathic son of Homelander and Becca Butcher (Shantel VanSanten), ran back to his father after Billy Butcher let him down, what will happen to him? (Karl Urban).

Because there are so many unfinished plot threads, the showrunners have plenty of room to play with in the upcoming season. Also returning to the show will be Erin Moriarty, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone, Jessie T. Usher, and Colby Minifie, all of whom previously appeared in the film. Although it looks that Ackles and Dominique McElligott have been put on ice, we believe that both characters will return in some capacity during the show’s fourth season. The suspense is killing us since there are so many unresolved questions! It’s a good thing that Eric Kripke’s series has never shied away from revealing what goes on behind the scenes, so we can expect more details to come our way soon!
