The start of The Handmaid’s Tale’s fifth season on Hulu is less than a month away. So far, the public has been treated to photographs and a teaser video that hint at what’s to come. As Hulu’s official banner hints that “some sins can’t be wiped away,” the season’s official teaser has been released. With its simple design, the poster conveys a powerful and ambiguous message. Although the hands themselves appear to be clean, they look to be submerged in blood-red water. Viewers, on the other hand, are well aware that in Gilead, no one’s hands are ever clean, whether metaphorically or literally.
The image suggests that anybody might be trying to “wipe away” their past because the hands are anonymous. A good example is June (Elisabeth Moss). Her actions in the season finale that left her literally red-handed will have severe repercussions to contend with The ad also emphasises the devastation that has been left in the wake of the events shown in the episode thus far. After killing Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) in Season 4, June is still trying to figure out who she is & what she’s here for. Even nevertheless, Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) is playing up her grief over Fred’s death in Toronto in order to strengthen her position there and push Gilead’s influence to Canada.
Lawrence (Bradley Whitford), Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd), and Nick (Max Minghella) forge an alliance to rebuild Gilead in the meanwhile. Meanwhile, June, Luke, and Moira (Samira Wiley) are searching for and rescuing Hannah (O-T Fagbenle). When The Handmaid’s Tale aired in 2017, it was based on a novel by Margaret Atwood. Gilead is a dystopian portrayal of the United States. June Osborne, a handmaid who quickly joins the resistance against Gilead and becomes its focal point, is the primary focus of the story. Genevieve Angelson and Amanda Brugel are also in Season 5, as are Sam Jaeger and Madeline Brewer. Bruce Miller is the show’s creator and executive producer.
Moss, Warren Littlefield, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, Eric Tuchman, Yahlin Chang, Rachel Skukert, Sheila Hockin, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Steve Stark, and Kim Todd are among the show’s other executive producers. Produced by MGM Television. on September 14, Hulu will begin airing the fifth season of The Handmaid’s Tale. 4 seasons have been made available for streaming on this device.
