In the ‘The Menu’ Trailer, Anya Taylor-Joy Serves a Frightful Feast, Cast, Release Date & Synopsis & More Details

Looks like we’ll be dining in hell when Searchlight Pictures releases The Menu’s new teaser this week. An idyllic getaway for young couple Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult is turned into absolute misery when Chef Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) decides to get creative in the kitchen. On a hidden island, the world’s most expensive and mysterious restaurant is located, and Tyler (Hoult) and Margot Taylor-Joy (Taylor-Joy) are invited to spend the night. A self-professed gourmet, Tyler eagerly anticipates the culinary delights that Chef Slowik has in store for his distinguished visitors.

The only reason Margot agrees to go to Tyler’s favourite restaurant is because she knows he’ll like it. Everyone’s palates are different, but when Chef Slowik reveals that he has been preparing some lethal meals, everyone on the island will have to battle to survive. Chef Slowik’s intentions for his guests are left unsaid in the new teaser. As a result, we’re treated to some disturbing pictures of individuals running through the forest at night as well as people being slain by restaurant personnel.

Our best hypothesis is that the island serves more than just animals. In his first feature-length picture since 2011’s What’s Your Number, Mark Mylod directs The Menu. Among his other credits include Shameless, Game of Thrones, and Succession, among others. Seth Reiss and Will Tracy, both of The Onion fame (Tracy previously worked with Mylod on Succession), authored the script. Adam McKay and Betsy Koch of Hyperobject Industries are producing the film.

The project is under the direction of Searchlight’s DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas, as well as Zahra Phillips, director of film development. Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Judith Light, Reed Birney, Paul Adelstein, Aimee Carrero, Arturo Castto, Mart St. Cyr, Rob Yan, and John Leguizamo are also among the cast of The Menu. On November 18, The Menu will be released in cinemas.

Synopsis
In an expensive restaurant on a coastal island, a couple (Taylor-Joy and Hoult) dine on a magnificent feast made by the chef (Fiennes).
