For Vesper, IFC has released an exclusive new trailer just one month after they released the first teaser for the dystopian film, which features a slew of technical and terrifying aspects in a futuristic environment. The story revolves around a fearless adolescent girl who struggles to live in a dangerous world while also caring for her dying father and attempting to “resuscitate” nature. Late September is when the sci-fi film premieres. Even more magical and futuristic themes are shown in the new teaser than were seen in the initial trailer and poster.
A peek at some of the unforeseen perils and weird surroundings that appear to be uninhabitable by humans may be seen in this episode of the series. According to the new video, Camellia (Rosy McEwen), a lost lady whose reliability is questioned by Vesper’s floating robot buddy (Raffiella Chapman), is one of the “seeds” that the main character is searching for in the plot. In addition, we see more of the film’s intriguing and bizarre features, which pique your curiosity while also making you want to flee. Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper, the filmmakers behind the critically acclaimed 2012 sci-fi thriller Vanishing Waves, collaborated on the screenplay and direction of Vesper.
It’s been 10 years since the team premiered Vesper at the 56th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes), Richard Brake (Game of Thrones), Edmund Dehn (With Love From… Suffolk), and Melanie Gaydos join Chapman and McEwen in the cast (Insidious: The Last Key).
On September 30, Vesper will be released in cinemas and on demand.
VESPER tells the story of a 13-year-old girl (Raffiella Chapman) who must survive in a strange and hazardous environment with her ailing father, Darius when the Earth’s ecology collapses (Richard Brake). Vesper’s bio-hacking skills and wits are put to the test as she embarks on a perilous journey.
