Clean Up Crew, an upcoming criminal action film, has revealed its cast. The thriller starring Rhys Meyers, Melissa Leo, and Antonio Banderas just concluded filming in Ireland. The release date for Clean Up Crew has yet to be determined, but it will debut at the Toronto Film Festival in September. Meyers and Leo, two members of a murder scene cleanup crew, discover a briefcase full of cash during their shift. Bandaranas, a mafia leader, sets his sights on the two when they decide to keep the money for themselves.
If they want to spend the money, the duo will have to outlast everyone from assassins to government officials. Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been nominated for an Emmy for his role as King Henry VIII in Showtime’s The Tudors. Besides these films and television programmes, he has also been a leading man in Velvet Goldmine, Alexander, and Mission: Impossible III. Leo, who has won an Oscar, is a renowned actress who has starred in such films as The Fighter, Prisoners, and Conviction. Her recent roles include leading roles in the TV shows I Know This Much Is True and I’m Dying Up Here.
Banderas has been nominated for both an Oscar and a Tony Award for his acting. He has an extensive career in both his home Spain and the United States. The role of Zorro in The Mask of Zorro is the one for which Banderas is most remembered. In addition to his work in action films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico and dramas like Evita and family-friendly animated features like Shrek 2, he has a diverse filmography. Banderas will next be seen in the highly anticipated Indiana Jones 5 and will reprise his voice role as Puss in Boots in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Jon Keeyes directed the film Clean Up Crew, which was written by Matthew Rogers. Both the 2021 post-apocalyptic action film The Survivalist, starring Meyers, and the 2022 action-thriller Code Name Banshee, starring Banderas, were written and directed by the same team.
Richard Bolger and Conor Barry of Hail Mary Pictures and Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, and Michael Rothstein of Yale Entertainment will be the film’s producers. Richard Clabaugh, Stephen Braun, and Kurt Ebner are among the other producers involved.
In a statement, Levine and Beckerman described the new picture as follows: We’re thrilled to be working with such a stellar group of actors on this exciting project. We have no doubt that Jon Keeyes will provide an original and exciting motion picture.
