In Chapter 1055 of One Piece, Navy Admiral Ryokugyu (Aramaki) adopted a full wood body and faced up against Momonosuke, who had steeled his will. As a result of his courage, the new Shogun was able to use an attack that was extremely similar to Kaido’s Blast Breath. Momo wouldn’t let Yamato fight, even while she took a beating from the Navy Admiral, since she believed Wano needed to be able to protect itself against the bad guys. The Admiral was ready to re-engage with the young dragon when Shanks intervened, escorted by his formidable Supreme King Haki, who Momo had coerced into returning to his human form. Sukiyaki told Law and Robin about the Old Wano while all of that was going on. The members of the Nine Red Scabbards care for a dehydrated Shinobu and Raizo at the beginning of Chapter 1056. As they catch each other up on the latest in Wano, Kin’emon shares news of his wife’s health. He also fills the others in on the group’s intentions to set up a house in the nation’s capital. Dogstorm also brings in Carrot for an appearance.
Dogstorm and Cat Viper have anointed the rabbit Mink as the new duke of Mokomo. Despite the young mink’s maturation during his time with the Straw Hat Pirates, they announce their intention to remain in Wano and in their retainer roles for Mononoke. Carrot is sceptical of her ability to replace the two because she is aware of the existence of stronger Minks. Dogstorm’s Three Musketeers and Wanda, on the other hand, have little trouble putting their faith in her and vowing to safeguard Zou on behalf of their new commander. Their logic is that she carries Pedro’s spirit more strongly than anybody else.
Dogstorm formally entrusts the country to the younger generation, marking the end of the transmission of titles and duties. While everything is going on, Sukiyaki comes clean to Momonosuke and Hiyori as well. Momo and Hiyori are relieved to hear that a relative is still alive, and the Red Scabbards are not surprised to learn the tengu’s true identity (with the exception of Kin’emon). Sukiyaki promises to teach you everything he knows for free, but in exchange, he wants to be allowed to blend in with the regular population as an unknown individual. For the Straw Hats, Robin shares the news that Pluton is being secreted within Wano with her crewmate. Since, as Luffy pointed out, Franky has already burned its plans, her disclosure comes as the biggest shock to him. When they start talking about ancient weapons, Otama and a stunning female ninja emerge. When she says her name is Shinobu, Sanji is instantly captivated. Straw Hat learns from Otama that he was formerly Shinobu’s apprentice. Luffy tells her that if she can learn ninjutsu before the next time they meet, she can join his crew as long as she is strong enough.
The stowaway Caribou is eavesdropping on them and, upon learning of Pluton’s whereabouts, plans to inform a certain individual of his findings. Several days later, Momonosuke is seen travelling throughout Wano, checking in on the ongoing construction and maintenance. The absence of the Straw Hats leads him to seek out Zoro in the hopes that he might instruct him in the ways of the sword. After learning how his sister is doing, he and Kin’emon are the only ones remaining to say their goodbyes. Luffy, Kid, and Law make up in Tokage Port and decide to go their own ways.
Because Luffy and Kid have both picked the middle Log Pose needle pointing east, this causes some debate. Law picks the northeastern destination with ease since it will get him the farthest ahead and he can’t allow the chance to ridicule and call the other two captains’ kids to pass him by. When it comes to making a decision, Luffy and Kid use the straw method, which leads the Straw Hats to head in a southeasterly direction. Luffy is now boasting inanely about being one of the Four Emperors because he lost. The kid is irritated by Luffy’s comment, but he’s much more frustrated by the fact that Buggy has the same title. In the following panel, Luffy and Zoro are taken aback by the ad for Buggy’s Cross Guild, which features not just Buggy but also Crocodile and Mihawk.
With these individuals serving under Buggy, even the law acknowledges the jester’s authority to be referred to as an “Emperor of the Sea.” Still, Luffy is dumbfounded that things have reached this stage, and he attributes it all to Buggy’s stupidity. Kid reveals that a lot has happened in the world while they have been at war with Kaido and his pirate gang. The Navy is worried about being assassinated by civilians since Buggy’s Cross Guild has turned the tables and is now offering bounties on Navy personnel. Having reached that conclusion, the three friends part ways. The kid then inquires whether they have any additional issues about their different classes.
He also warns them that once they leave Wano’s area, they would have to battle to the death just like everyone else. Law gives a copy of the Road Poneglyph to Kid’s group before they part ways. Law points out that Kid deserves an equal portion of the spoils because he contributed equally to the victory. Kid realises it’s similar to the item they stole from Big Mom’s general, and Killer adds that they need to put everything they’ve got into it if they want to take part in the all-out fight for the title One Piece. Kid interprets Killer’s words as meaning he has located the “Man with the burn scar,” someone about whom Luffy knows nothing. Momonosuke and Kin’emon are back in the Flower Capital and are still looking for their companions. Yamato, to their surprise, answers their call from the keep’s highest tower. The woman believes she has settled on a course of action.
She’ll head over to the Straw Hats and join up with them, determining that she wants to follow in Kozuki Oden’s footsteps. On Sunday, August 21st, a new One Piece chapter will be posted online.
