The trailer for the romantic comedy Love in the Villa, which will debut on Netflix on September 1, has just been released. A young, recently single lady takes a trip to Verona, Italy, on her alone, only to discover that the villa she purchased is double-booked and she must share it with a jaded British guy in Netflix’s latest light-hearted romantic comedy.
In the preview, we meet “the girl with a plan,” who has planned a romantic trip to Italy for herself and her partner. After he breaks up with her, her romantic trip to Italy, which was inspired by Shakespeare, turns into a nightmare.
The property she had hired was already occupied, so she had to share it with an unpleasant but physically appealing stranger. She has no choice but to spend the holiday with the man she calls “big foot,” turning what should have been a Romeo and Juliet-inspired getaway into a Montagues and Capulets-style spat. In their quest for “a life of romance,” will these total strangers put their disagreements aside? Kat Graham, formerly of “The Vampire Diaries,” and Tom Hopper, formerly of “The Umbrella Academy,” recently discussed their roles in the Netflix romantic comedy with “Entertainment Weekly.”
Adding to the strangeness, Graham stated, “Verona was already my favourite location in the world.” “When my ex and I reconciled in Verona, it was there that we rekindled our relationship. And then I got this movie two years later.” Contrarily, Hopper stated that his wife, Laura Hopper, was enthusiastic about the role of Cassie in the next film and was excited to read the script. “Some scripts get reviewed by my wife before I get to them. To some of them, she says, “Oh don’t bother, you’re not going to connect with this one.” Then she said, “I just read this really fantastic script called Love in the Villa.” The movie fits the genre of “romantic comedy” perfectly.” Mark Steven Johnson, an American filmmaker and writer, is responsible for the project.
Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Killing Season, and Christopher Robin are just a few of the films he directed. The director’s past work includes the romantic comedies When in Rome and Love, Guaranteed, so its success would not be unexpected if Love in the Villa follows suit.
Raymond Ablack, Sean Amsing, and Emilio Solfrizzi join Graham and Hopper in the supporting cast of Love in the Villa. On September 1st, you may see the debut of the romantic comedy.
