Season 4 of ‘Atlanta’ Teaser: There’s No Place Like ‘Home’: Synopsis, Release Date & Cast Details

The fourth and final season of Donald Glover’s Atlanta is coming to an end. With the launch of a new video showcasing the characters returning to their birthplace of Atlanta, Georgia, FX confirmed the premiere date and release of the final season of the award-winning series. Thursday, September 15th at 10 pm ET/PT will be the launch of Atlanta’s last season on Hulu, which will feature two episodes of the 10-episode season. Additionally, FX released an Atlanta Season 4 teaser filled with Easter eggs and nods to prior seasons, including a cameo appearance by actor Donald Glover (of Community and Guava Island fame). After a long journey, Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry, Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse, and If Beale Street Could Talk), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield, Sorry to Bother You, and Knives Out), and Van (Zazie Beetz, Joker and Deadpool 2) return to Glover’s Earn’s hometown in the final season.

When the characters return to Atlanta, they begin to wonder if the city itself has changed or if the people themselves have. The 3rd season, which aired earlier this year, some four years after the release of the second, was shot at the same time as the fourth. According to Glover, this fourth season will be a lot more enjoyable than the previous three, despite the show’s dismal third season. Nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Best Directing for a Comedy Series were received during the third season.

Stephen Glover, Stefani Robinson, Paul Simms, and Dianne McGunigle all serve as executive producers for the FX series, which was created by Glover and directed by Murai. Atlanta won five Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes, and two American Film Institute Awards over its first two seasons. The second season earned high accolades from fans and critics alike and was nominated for several more awards from Peabody to PGA to WGA to TCA to NAACP to the Critics’ Choice Awards. There are now three seasons of Atlanta accessible on Hulu to watch for free. Latin American audiences may see the show on Star+ or Disney+, while everyone else will be able to watch it on Star in the coming weeks.
