The release date of ‘Creed III’ has been pushed back to 2023: Synopsis & Cast Details

MGM has pushed back the release date of Creed III from November of this year to March 3, 2023, which means fans will have to wait only a few more months to see Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed return to the ring. Following in the footsteps of Ryan Coogler & Steven Caple Jr., Jordan will make his directorial debut with the sequel. In addition, this will be the first Creed picture sans Rocky Balboa, the “Italian Stallion” (Sylvester Stallone). As of March 3, 2023, Creed III will go up against Paramount’s Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which is scheduled for release the same day. Creed III and Dungeons and Dragons are a great counter-programming choice, despite the fact that there is some overlap in audience demographics between the two.

For unknown reasons, the show’s producers have decided to press through with its third season. Audiences needn’t worry about that. There are presently no specifics about the narrative of Creed III, which is written by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin (Fruitvale Station). Tessa Thompson returns as Creed’s fiancee Bianca and Phylicia Rashad returns as Creed’s stepmother Mary Anne in the film. Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum of Solace, will challenge Creed to a fight. For his part, Majors put on a significant amount of muscle, and he may easily be Creed’s most formidable opponent. A film about Creed’s father, Apollo (Carl Weathers), who was assassinated by Ivan Drago in the ring was released in 2015 as the first Creed movie (Dolph Lundgren). After initial resistance, Rocky (Stallone) eventually develops a close father relationship with him.

At the end of the first film, Creed gained a lot of attention and popularity. Drago’s heir Viktor was his opponent (Florian Munteanu). MGM has confirmed that screenwriter Robert Lawton is working on a Drago spinoff picture. There aren’t many specifics, but it’s safe to assume that it will cover the lives of Ivan and Viktor. Creed III’s departure leaves MGM with five projects remaining in the year, two of which will premiere on Amazon Prime at the same time as Thirteen Lives and Samaritan. Three Thousand Years of Longing, starring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba, will also be released by George Miller. Dark Harvest and Bones & All are also scheduled for release this fall by the studio. March 3, 2023, marks the release date for the third Creed film.
