Deadline has learned exclusively that the ensemble of director Jason Woliner’s next series, which has yet to be given a name, has grown to include seven more actors. Assuming all goes as planned, we should see the show on Peacock soon. In addition to W. Earl Brown, Josh Pais, and Irina Maleeva, who appeared in The Merchant of Venice, Christopher Stanley, well known for his role as Henry Francis in Mad Men, will join the cast of the series as a recurrent cast member with Stanley. Actor James Remar (Yellowstone) will join Paul Ben-Victor (Pam & Tommy) and Hilda Boulware in guest starring roles in the series (Modern Family). In addition to Rosanna Arquette, Melinda McGraw, Frank Grillo, Dennis Haysbert, and Dee Wallace, the new cast members will join the already announced cast of Rosanna Arquette, Melinda McGraw, Melinda McGraw, Frank Grillo, Dennis Haysbert, and Dee Wallace (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial).
While the actors’ roles in the series remain a mystery, the statement does confirm that filming for the programme has begun. By virtue of the show’s enigmatic character and the fact that it has been described as “groundbreaking and strange,” certain storyline aspects remain a secret for the time being as well. Woliner, who directed Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, will return to direct the programme. While nothing is known about what the series will be about, the director’s previous experience directing episodes like The Last Man on Earth, What We Do in the Shadows, and Nathan for You might make his new project a fascinating series to watch when it arrives on Peacock. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who produced The Disaster Artist starring James Franco in 2017, will produce the unnamed series.
The show’s executive producer is Tyler Ben-Amotz. Woliner will serve as both showrunner and executive producer on the project. Michael Sagol and Bert Hamelinck of Caviar team up with Megan Ellison of Annapurna and Rogen, Goldberg, James Weaver, and Loreli Alanis to produce with Megan Ellison and the rest of the Annapurna team. Woliner’s upcoming series, which has yet to be announced, will premiere on Peacock.
