Partner Track, the new Netflix drama series that takes a litigious look at love, has just published a new teaser, adding another name to the plethora of charming rom-coms that have been on the rise recently. Netflix will be the only place to see the show when it premieres on that day in 2022. An adaptation of Helen Wan’s 2013 novel about Ingrid Yun, a first-generation Chinese-American woman who is the first lawyer in her family and works at the mainly white legal firm Parsons Valentine and Hunt, has premiered on Netflix. More than anything, Ingrid is an idealist, driven by her unbridled ambitions and unwavering commitment to her profession.
Despite this, her life gets even more difficult when her attractive ex-boyfriend joins her business, and an ultra-wealthy new suitor both attempt to win her affections. Ingrid’s two closest pals keep her going through it all since they can talk her through anything. It has been a long time since we’ve seen Arden Cho in the character of Ingrid Yun, but today’s teaser provides us with a fresh look at the new series. Ingrid’s narrative is one of emotional and professional passion, whether it’s in a ballroom, a rural home, or a wood-panelled legal office.
Racism and being a person of colour in a predominantly white workplace are additional themes that the novel touches on.
She will begin to question the injustices in her chosen job as she begins to reevaluate the ambitions that have occupied her whole life. In addition to Cho, Dominic Sherwood, Bradley Gibson, Alexandra Turshen, and Rob Heaps also feature Jeff Murphy, Tyler Robinson, Rachel Friedman, and Nick Laren, respectively. Ingrid’s personal and professional lives will be examined in the series developed by Georgia Lee. Throughout the series, she will demonstrate her legal skill as she works her way up the ladder at her law firm while also juggling her home and professional lives. To make matters worse, Ingrid will soon have to share an office with a charming new suitor and an equally attractive ex. Even though the first episode of the series won’t air until 2022 on August 26.
