The Season 3 Trailer of ‘Locke & Key’ Reveals One Final Mystery: Synopsis, Release Date & Cast Details

If you’re a fan of the Locke & Key series and are eager to see what the show’s third season has in store for us, we’ve got just the trailer for you. The unexplained death of their father brings the Locke children together as the show’s central characters. The family is up against a swarm of evil entities eager to seize the magical things they inherited as they attempt to reclaim all of the Keys they have. The final season will air on Netflix in a matter of weeks. After a previous British captain who died in the war but was revived by a Timeshift Key now serves as a conduit for an evil demon, one of the key plot lines of Season 3 is revealed to be the Locke siblings finding out just how much power they have in the Timeshift Key.

Further, along with the new teaser, Netflix also revealed the eight new directors who will be working on the series’ last eight episodes. A different director directs two episodes for each of the following shows: Guy Ferland (Yellowstone), Edward Ornelas (The Resident, Bull), Marisol Adler (Manifest), and Jeremy Webb (The Umbrella Academy). Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, showrunners of the series, will write one episode, while Joe Hill, the creator of the graphic novel series and the son of Stephen King, will write the last two episodes. There is a sense of closure to the tale since the show’s co-creators announced when Season 2 was renewed that they had sat down and plotted out all of Seasons 3 and 4.

Hill and co-author Gabriel Rodrguez’s 2008 horror graphic novel series, Locke & Key, served as the inspiration for the film. The show’s creators, Cuse and Averill, are well-versed in dark and enigmatic storytelling. Cuse was the creator and executive producer of two critically acclaimed shows: Lost and Bates Motel. Averill worked on Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House as a scriptwriter. Stars Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Jackson Robert Scott and Emilia Jones, as well as Brendan Hines, Sherri Saum, Coby Bird, Kevin Durand, and Aaron Ashmore, make up the cast of Scandal (Killjoys). The final season of Locke & Key is set to release on Netflix on August 10.
