We’re delighted to premiere a new trailer for the forthcoming third season of Nickelodeon’s famous anthology horror series based on the 90s original, Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island, with you today. A daytime and a nighttime segment are included in this new 2-minute exclusive clip from “The Tale of Room 13/The Tale of the Teen Spirit,” the show’s first episode. An unlit bonfire on Ghost Island’s beach hosts Kayla (Telci Huynh), Leo (Luca Padova), Summer (Dior Goodjohn), and Ferris (Chance Hurstfield) of the Midnight Society. They meet Max (Conor Sherry) after a short talk and gather around the campfire for a nightcap.
According to Max, it’s because of Room 13, which the management had supposedly claimed the other kids weren’t there. Julian Curtis has been cast as Stanley Crane, the manager of the island resort’s hotel. As a follow-up to its critically acclaimed second season, the rebooted series Are You Afraid of the Dark? : Curse of the Shadows received an Emmy Award nomination for Best Drama Series and two Directors Guild Award nominations for Best Horror Series.
The third season of the rebooted series premiered in March of this year and was renewed in March of the same year. Over the course of its initial run, the original Are You Afraid of the Dark? ran for seven seasons between 1992 and 1996, with the final two airing in 1999 and 2000.
