New footage from Netflix’s forthcoming biopic Blonde, featuring Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe, has been revealed. When Marilyn Monroe lost her sense of self due to the brutality of the entertainment industry, Blonde is based on Joyce Carol Oates’s best-selling historical novel of the same name. Marilyn Monroe, born in Los Angeles, in 1926 and immediately rose to prominence in the film business as a sex symbol. Monroe had a flourishing acting, singing, and modelling career in the 1940s and 1950s, dazzling the world with her huge grin and seductive stare. In an industry that continuously objectsifies women and equates their worth with their outward looks, a person was hiding behind the success she seemed to be enjoying.
She felt pressured to conform to the expectations of others. In 1962, at the age of 36, Marilyn Monroe took her own life by overdosing on barbiturates due to her own personal problems and mental health concerns. The cause of Monroe’s death was determined to be a possible suicide, which was tragic. One of Monroe’s many facets will be explored, as shown in the new teaser, in Netflix’s fictitious portrayal of her life. To be sure, Monroe was an ever-happy sex symbol who encouraged countless young girls to aspire to stardom, and she remains a cultural icon to this day. Then there’s the fact that she’s still a young lady in a terrible line of work where her body is utilised to market new items and her identity is shaped by what the public wants.
So Blonde will display some of Monroe’s most famous portions in a fresh light, highlighting concerns that are still prevalent in Hollywood.. It is hard not to be moved to tears by de Armas’ performance as Monroe in the latest clip. The new Blonde teaser reaffirms that de Armas was the right choice for the main role, despite the film’s lengthy production schedule. Naomi Watts and Jessica Chastain have been tied to the project prior to the ultimate selection of de Armas. Oscar-winning Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, and Caspar Phillipson all-star in Blonde’s ensemble. Plan B Entertainment, Brad Pitt’s production business, was responsible for the film’s production.
Netflix will premiere Blonde on September 23.
