We’ve been waiting more than three months for a new chapter of Black Clover, so everyone here is excited to get back into action. First and foremost, the last chapter ended on a massive cliffhanger, and it’s fair to say that it was the most startling Black Clover chapter yet. Although Astaroth and his allies succeed to vanquish Lucifero, they had no idea that Julias Novachrono, the Wizard King, would turn out to be Lucious Zogratis, the host of Astaroth’s demon lordship. This chapter was announced a few days ago, and now it’s finally here for us to enjoy. There are always spoilers for the next chapter a few days before it is released.

Final Declaration is the title of the next chapter, which begins with the 7th entrance of the Underworld. Lucifero is muttering something about possessing the strongest magic as he lies on the ground. Meanwhile, Lucious shows up and proclaims that humans possess the best magic in the universe. Asta is elevated to the post of Senior Magic Knight after a one-year and three-month time lapse. The event will also be attended by a number of high-ranking officials. Yuno is on a mission, therefore he can’t be seen anywhere, but he’s now Grand Magic Knight. As a result of Damnatio’s disappearance, the demon trials have come to a halt, and rumours abound regarding what has happened to the Wizard King.
There is still a lot of scepticism about the abilities of the devil, Fuego tells Asta. The fact that Fuego takes note of Asta’s input cheers him up. When it comes time to talk about the future Wizard King, Asta suggests Nozel, Fuego, or Mereo as possible candidates. According to Nozel, everything is on pause at the moment. A year of unusual behaviour by Charlotte in his presence has left Yami baffled. Finrel then reveals that, while he was asleep, she expressed her love for him to him. While using the restroom, Yami wonders aloud if Charlotte has feelings for him. When Asta approaches Sister Lily with the idea of confessing, she politely declines. She tells him, “You’re like a loving brother to me… like a family member.” Sister Lily assures Asta that while he accepts her rejection, he will in fact become Wizard King. Lucious arrives at the end of the chapter and congratulates Asta for completing the task.
