On the Come Up, a new film from Paramount+ has a release date and a first look image just one month after the first trailer was released. The Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 8-18, is where the film will have its international debut. On September 23, the movie will be released on Paramount+ in the United States, Canada, and Italy, making it available to a wider audience. The film will be released in other countries later this year. As shown in this shot, Bri (Jamila C. Gray), the protagonist of On the Come Up, is accompanied by other individuals. Bri appears to be in the middle of a rap battle or ready to begin her round, based on the movie’s concept and a quick glance comparable to the one in the teaser.
Bri’s friends and family are all beaming with encouragement as they stand around her. At this moment, it’s clear that everyone around Bri is enjoying what she has to say because she looks to be mid-speech. Bri, a 16-year-old aspiring rapper, is the protagonist of On the Come Up. Kay Oyegun wrote the script for the film, which was directed by Sanaa Lathan. This is Lathan’s first directing effort. To go along with Gray’s performance, the film also features Lathan (as Davionte Ganter), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (as Lil Yachty), Method Man (as Mike Epps) and GaTa (as Davionte Ganter).
The film will be produced by Temple Hill, State Street Pictures, Thomas, George Tillman, Jr., Robert Teitel, Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, Isaac Klausner, and Timothy M. Bourne. john Fischer serves as executive producer. Paramount+’s Chief Programming Officer Tanya Giles said in a statement that the next release will be a success. A wonderfully amazing film about pursuing your aspirations will be shown during this fall’s service. To say that ‘On the Come Up is a heartfelt tribute to hip-hop would be an understatement.
