As Kung Fu, the popular CW martial arts series enters its third season, it appears that the cast is growing. According to Deadline, Ben Levin and Kim Rhodes will be appearing on the show on a regular basis. Fans of the network will recognise Levin and Rhodes from their roles on Legacies and Supernatural, which both star them. David Carradine reprises his role as a monk journeying across the American West in the 1970s series Kung Fu. Adapted for a contemporary audience on The CW, the show stars Olivia Liang as Nicky, a college dropout who abandons her studies to journey to a remote Chinese monastery.
Upon her return to San Francisco after three years, she finds the city plagued with violence. Using her new martial arts skills, Nicky intends to utilise them to protect her family and her community while adhering to the Shaolin monks’ teachings. A barista who decides to utilise his martial arts expertise to combat criminals will be played by Levin. It’s Bo’s first time in town, and he can’t wait to help Nicky defend the city. As Carrie, Rhodes will take on the role of a prominent restaurant investment firm executive. Carrie shows up in the plot when she falls in love with Nicky’s mother’s restaurant and develops an unexpected connection with her. On The CW’s Legacies, Levin starred in the fourth and final season of the show, which recently aired Arrested Development, Love, and As The World Turns have all featured the actor.
For his role as Sheriff Jody Mills in the famous television show Supernatural, Rhodes is widely regarded. Carey Martin, the mother of the twins in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, was another role she played on Disney Channel. Colony and Criminal Minds are a couple of her other significant credits. Strong Enough, a new sports drama will include her as well. Yvonne Chapman and Vanessa Kai co-star in Kung Fu alongside Eddie Liu, Jon Prasida, Kheng Hua Tan, and Tzi Ma. Christina M. Kim serves as executive producer and showrunner for the series, which also has Robert Berens as executive producer. Executive producers include Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Martin Gero, and David Madden. The CW plans to premiere Kung Fu Season 3 in the fall of 2022-2023.
