In ‘The Santa Clauses,’ David Krumholtz reprises his role as Bernard the Elf: Synopsis, Release Date & Cast Details

According to an exclusive Deadline report, actor David Krumholtz will reprise his role as Bernard the Elf in Disney+’s The Santa Clauses, which is scheduled to premiere in 2019. With Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell reprising their roles as Scott Calvin (Santa Claus) and Carol Calvin (Mrs Claus), Krumholtz returns to the franchise. Simon Choski will be played by Kal Penn (A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas) alongside Elizabeth Allen-Dick (Sandra) and Devin Bright (Noel). Austin Kane will portray Cal, Matilda Lawler will portray Betty, and Rupali Redd will portray Grace in the film. The North Pole’s Chief Elf, Bernard the Elf, originally appeared in the 1994 film The Santa Clause and quickly became a beloved character among many people who watch the holiday classic each year.

In 2002, with the release of The Santa Clause 2, which centred on Scott Calvin’s yearning to marry, Krumholtz returned to the character. Bernard was gone from The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, with Curtis (Spencer Breslin) taking his place as Head Elf. After a 20-year hiatus, the series is making a comeback, and fans may rejoice that their favourite elf is returning. When Scott Calvin becomes 65, he begins to lose his magic, which will be the subject of the show. The father of three, Calvin, realises that he can no longer be Santa Claus and sets out to locate a suitable replacement while also making plans for his family’s future life away from the North Pole.

The Santa Clauses has the potential to be a heartfelt send-off for fans of the series, thanks to the presence of familiar faces from prior films and an intriguing storyline. Jack Burditt, an Emmy Award-winning showrunner and executive producer, acts as the show’s showrunner. Small Dog Picture Company’s Rick Messina, Jason Winer, and Jon Radler, as well as Allen’s co-executive producers Kevin Hench and Richard Baker, serve as the studio’s other executive producers. The release date for The Santa Clauses has not yet been established, although it is expected to be sometime during the Christmas season. Disney+ subscribers will be able to see the entire series when it debuts on the service in the fall.
