In spite of the fact that the San Diego Comic-Con is officially gone, there are plenty of great events coming up. LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation, one of Disney+’s upcoming original series, debuted a new poster at SDCC ahead of its August launch. A beach scene with all of our favourite Star Wars characters is included on the poster. Star Wars icons including Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Chewbacca appear in the photo, but they all have a tan-tinted appearance. While reading a book on the beach, Finn is sporting a Hawaiian shirt, the stormtroopers are dressed in swimwear, and Ray is donning a large hat to shield his eyes from the sun. Emperor Palpatine and “Weird Al” Yankovic were two more centrepieces of the party.
They are hoping to have a peaceful holiday aboard a luxury Galactic Star Cruiser dubbed Halcyon in this one-hour spectacular. Despite this, Finn is visited by three Force Ghosts as the gang becomes separated. Princess Leia tells anecdotes of her holidays with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Additionally, a short video was screened at SDCC that explains Finn’s story in the special. Summer Vacation appears to be a spoof of A Christmas Carol in which a character is visited by three ghosts, and Finn is expected to learn many useful things from the stories he hears.
Finn is going all out to make this the finest vacation ever, which is bound to cause some friction among the original party members. This will be the third Disney+ Lego special, following LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special and LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, when it debuts on August 5. This is going to be a hilarious and endearing vacation in a galaxy far, far away if it’s anything like the other specials. Lego Star Wars regulars Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor are among the cast members of Summer Vacation. “Weird Al” Yankovic and Yvette Nicole Brown will also appear in the film.
