According to Deadline, Pedro Pascal and David Harbour, fresh off of their roles in The Mandalorian and Stranger Things, will executive produce and appear in HBO’s upcoming limited series My Dentist’s Murder Trial. Pascal will portray Dr Gilberto Nunez, who was charged for the death of his buddy, Thomas Kolman, in a new true-crime television series. The show will be based on the 2017 New Yorker story “My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, fake identities, and a fatal sedative,” written by James Lasdun, who knew Nunez as his dentist.
This Nunez was found not guilty of killing his buddy because he was having an affair with Kolman’s wife. Despite this, the former dentist was condemned to jail for fraud after posing as a C.I.A. agent. agent.
For now, it is not certain how closely the programme will follow its source material and how much of a part Harbour will have in the series, but My Dentist’s Murder Trial might be a fascinating crime thriller to watch when it debuts in a few months. In addition to his part as Santa Claus in Violent Night, Harbour will also act as a real-life gangster in The Trasher. Harbour is most recognised for his performance in Stranger Things. With The Mandalorian Season 3 due to premiere, Pascal has been cast in HBO’s The Last Of Us series, which is based on the famous video game. Scriptwriter Steve Conrad, who previously worked on Patriot, Wonder, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, will pen My Dentist’s Murder Trial. Game of Thrones prequel series Tales of Dunk and Egg is being written by Conrad at the moment.
Molly Allen and James Lasdun, in addition to Pascal, Harbour, and Conrad, will serve as executive producers on the show. The show’s executive producers are Bruce Terris, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Taylor Latham, and Steve Tisch from Escape Artists. The publication date for My Dentist’s Murder Trial has not yet been determined because the project is still in its early stages.
