Mayans M.C. made a big splash at San Diego Comic-Con after its crazy Season 4 finale for a special screening and event with all its cast and creatives. A renewal for Season 5 seemed a certain conclusion given how well-regarded this FX drama has become one of the network’s top dramas. Season 5 of the show will premiere in 2023, according to information shared by the panel. For the last four years, Elgin James and Kurt Sutter have been tracking Ezekiel’s ‘EZ’ Reyes’ (JD Pardo) rise as a prospect in the Mayans Motorcycle Club charter situated near the U.S.-Mexico border in their spinoff Mayans M.C. The series is set in the fictional hamlet of Santo Padre, where EZ is just out of prison and out for revenge against the cartels that ruined his family’s opportunity for a better life in the United States.
A huge cliffhanger conclusion in Season 4 hinted at the possibility of a second season because of the dire consequences for EZ and the Mayans M.C.’s future that it had.
