There’s a new Don’t Worry Darling trailer out, and it shows Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, who are clearly in love, having some significant problems in paradise. It follows Pugh’s Alice as she learns that her ideal existence in 1950s suburbia may not be what it seems when directed by Olivia Wilde and written by her Booksmart associate Katie Silberman. Alice investigates Victory Project, the mysterious organisation that brought her and her husband, Jack (Styles), to the corporate town when he accepted a position with them. She is desperate to find the truth.
Jack’s boss Frank (Chris Pine) becomes enraged by her inquiry, and her frenzy threatens their relationship. Is Alice going to be able to keep her head above water long enough to discover the truth? The supporting cast includes Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, KiKi Layne, and Wilde. “What is a threat to progress??” As you can see in the current trailer, Frank poses the question in a frightening manner. Kroll’s Bill responds, “Chaos.” “Yeah!” Frank exclaims. A degrading epithet.
It doesn’t take long for Alice to cover her head in plastic wrap and get squeezed by the supposedly shifting walls of her and Jack’s home, which causes a lot of screaming. There is something wrong with this house, and she spends much of her time cleaning and preparing eggs to feed Jack before he leaves for work. Frank thanks Jack for his “loyalty” by giving him a beautiful ring. It’s all lies to me,” Alice exclaims in another episode. “It’s all about the power,” he said.
