This summer, Hulu is getting an exciting new animated series with the news of the additions of Sarah Snook and Demi Lardner to the cast of Koala Man. Co-creator Michael Cusack also stars in Koala Man as the show’s executive producer and co-creator. Snook will portray Vicky, a woman who feels that her husband’s activities are only a phase and that he is going through a midlife crisis. When it comes to solving and cleaning up crimes in the Australian town of Dapto, Kevin, the husband, is the show’s hero.
While he is devoted to his heroic duty, Vicky is beginning to question if they made the correct decision by getting married in the first place. Lardner will portray Alison, a young girl who aspires to be the school’s most popular and most sought-after student. Alison is Kevin’s daughter and Liam’s sister. Even though the age difference between Alison and her twin is only 35 seconds, she’s willing to put up with a lot greater distance from her family in order to achieve her goal of being the most popular student at school. If you call not bringing out the garbage at the correct time an adventure, then Koala Man is in for a wild ride.
Even if Kevin lacks abilities, he will continue to defend his fellow Daptonians against any and all dangers, whether they be man-made or otherworldly. He only has to find a method to avoid bringing his family along on his crazy exploits. Dapto Mayor Big Greg, played by Hugh Jackman, is joined by Snook (Success) and Australian comic Lardner in a cast that already includes Hugh Jackman. Kevin and Liam will be voiced by the show’s creator, John Cusack. In March 2021, an eight-episode order was placed for Koala Man.
In addition to Cusack, the executive producers of Rick and Morty include Dan Hernandez, Benji Samit, and Michael Cowap. Samit and Hernandez will both serve as showrunners. 20th Television Animation creates Koala Man exclusively for Hulu.
Koala Man’s official summary is here:
Family comedy where the dad lives a not-so-secret persona as Koala Man, an Australian suburbia superhero with no abilities but a deep desire to extinguish petty crime and restore the community’s peace and tranquilly.”
The release date for Koala Man has not yet been announced.
