Transformers: EarthSpark, the next Paramount+ original animated series, debuted a brand new trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con. The announcement of the official voice cast for the upcoming Transformers movie was made at the same time as the release of a six-minute trailer. During an exclusive panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, chaired by Editor-in-Chief of Den of Geek, Mike Cecchini, the new trailer and voice cast for the 26-episode series were announced. Danny Pudi, Kathreen Khavari and Zeno Robinson of Big City Greens were among the cast members that were on the panel, as well as series creator and co-executive producer Dale Malinowski and executive producer Ant Ward (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Elita-1 will all be voiced by Pudi and his fellow cast mates Alan Tudyk (from Resident Alien), Rory McCann (from Game of Thrones), and Cissy Jones (from The Owl House).
Sydney Mikayla (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) and Zion Broadnax (Day Shift) will play the brilliant and charming 13-year-old Robby Malto and Morgan ‘Mo’ Malto, Robby’s 9-year-old sister, respectively. Benny Latham and Jon Jon Briones provide the voices for Dot and Alex Malto, the couple’s parents. Twitch and Thrash, two Earth-born Transformers voiced by Khavari and Robinson, will be the new Transformers. Diedrich Bader provides the voice of Mandroid, the show’s antagonist (Better Things). Terrans, the first Transformers to be born on Earth, are the focus of Transformers: EarthSpark. Two of these Transformers, Twitch and Thrash, have already been named.
The Malto family has welcomed these robots disguised as humans into their households. “They’ll reinvent what it means to be a family,” reads the official description. Claudia Spinelli, Senior Vice President of Nickelodeon’s Big Kids Animation, is working on a television adaptation of Transformers: EarthSpark. eOne’s Kari Rosenberg and Nickelodeon’s Mikiel Houser are responsible for overseeing production. Nick, Paramount+, and Entertainment One are all involved in the show’s development (eOne).
Transformers: EarthSpark toymaker Hasbro is also a collaborator in the animated series’ development. On Paramount+ and select Nickelodeon networks across the world, Transformers: EarthSpark will premiere exclusively in November. EarthSpark, a new generation of Transformers robots born on Earth, will redefine what it means to be a family with the human family that embraces them and cares for them, according to the official synopsis of the forthcoming animated series.
