This Valentine’s Day, HBO Max discovers romance in surprising places. B. Loved, a two-part event from the streamer, tells the story of a young ghost who makes a new companion. HBO Max has shared a first peek photo of the special’s stars Peyton List (Cobra Kai) and Michael Cimino while production is still going on (Love, Victor). List’s character Bea and Cimino’s character Cole appear to be posing in what appears to be an opulent gold area, which may be the foyer of an opulent hotel or ballroom. Bea’s 1920s attire contrasts sharply with Cole’s more casual ensemble.
In light of Cole’s exuberant demeanour and the guy in the backdrop, the two appear to be at an event. Currently, there are no more details available. Bea, the protagonist of B. Loved, is described as an “adventurous, humorous, curious teen.” Her presence in the current day is a ghostly apparition from the past. For the first time in a century, Cole moves into the house where Bea has lived for the last century. As a result of their friendship, Bea is able to enjoy life to the fullest once more, going on new adventures, discovering new places, and giving her all to the things she’s most passionate about once more. List and Cimino had previously appeared on television in roles unrelated to B. Loved. The fifth season of Netflix’s Cobra Kai, which features List as Tory Nichols, will premiere in September.
This month, Cimino wrapped off his three-season tenure as Victor Salazar in Love, Victor on Hulu. Netflix’s Never Have I Ever will see him return for a fourth and final season in 2023. Andrea Navedo (Jane the Virgin) and Phoebe Holden round out the B. Loved cast (Tiger Girl). As Cole’s mother Catarina moves to a new place for a fresh start, Navedo portrays her. As Lydia, Cole’s new friend, Holden will be his guide as he learns to deal with his newfound feelings for Bea.
From a script by Cesar Vitale (Tall Girl 2), the special is directed by Emily Ting (Tall Girl 2). With Justin Young, Cheche Alara collaborated on three original songs for B. Loved that won a Grammy Award for best original song. Among the executive producers are Mark Burton and Aaron Parry, as well as Tracy K. Price and William Andrew. Wonder Worldwide and Endeavor Content are creating. According to a rumoured release date, B-Loved will be broadcast on HBO Max in 2023.
