Netflix’s Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, a prequel to Jurassic World Dominion, will have you dino-crazed all summer long. As the first Jurassic Park property aimed at children, the animated series follows a group of teens trapped in the park’s eponymous theme park after things go wrong. For those of you who have already seen the series, we are excited to premiere an exclusive clip from season five, which premieres exclusively on Netflix tomorrow. While filming “Trouble All Around,” the campers encounter a variety of dinosaurs, some live, others robotic.
Pterosaurs and two tyrannosaurus rexes are chomping at the bit to transform Brooklynn (Jenna Ortega) and Darius (Paul-Mikél Williams) into “chew toys” — Brooklynn’s words, not ours. While the pterosaurs are able to agitate the T. rexes by tossing enough pinecones at them, the other campers have little success. A pack of spitting dilophosaurs, whose blinding acidic venom threatens them as they run through the jungle, has Ben (Sean Giambrone) and Yaz (Kausar Mohammed) on the run, while Sammy (Raini Rodriguez) is stranded somewhere in the depths of an old complex, struggling to accomplish her mission before she’d been spotted by a strange, dinosaur-shaped robot roaming the halls. Meanwhile.
Only time will tell if the campers make it out of this situation unscathed, but it looks like they will. In the second season of Camp Cretaceous, the campers, who landed on a dinosaur-infested island in season one, are still seeking for a way off of the island. It’s a relief for the campers when Kenji’s (Ryan Potter) father comes; but, the Mantah Corp and even one of their own keep turning against them. There is no other option except to join together and save themselves and the dinosaurs around them, and to find a path back to civilization.
The all-star cast of Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Haley Joel Osment, Glen Powell, and Jameela Jamil lend their voices to Camp Cretaceous, a canon offshoot of the global smash Jurassic World film. Colin Trevorrow, Frank Marshall, and Steven Spielberg, the director of the original Jurassic Park film, serve as executive producers along with Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley, the showrunners and executive producers. Camp Cretaceous, the fifth and final season of Jurassic World, will air on July 21. Meanwhile, Netflix has the first four seasons available for watching.
