Two weeks before Bullet Train’s release, Deadpool 2 director David Leitch’s action/comedy flick starring Brad Pitt and an A-list cast of spies is a hotly anticipated event. Colourful visual candy and high-octane action centred on assassins are the film’s key attractions, according to all the information available. In keeping with this trend, ScreenX has released an exclusive poster featuring the title Bullet Train and touting the 270-degree immersive experience provided by ScreenX.
On August 5, the film will finally arrive at its destination after a series of setbacks. Brad Pitt plays Ladybug, an assassin whose handler Maria Beetle (Sandra Bullock) drags him back into the fold for one more job. Bullet Train is based on a novel of the same name by Ktaro Isaka. Almost as diverse as the assassins they portray are Joey King, Andrew Koji, Brian, and the rest of the cast. It’s not just Bad Bunny who’s getting involved, but Tyree Henry and Zazie Beetz and Sandra Bullock and Michael Shannon and Logan Lerman and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as well. On the titular bullet train, the film follows a diverse mix of people as they work for their own goals.
What should’ve been a simple journey becomes a never-ending battle for survival as they discover the hidden ties that bind them. The poster shows the Bullet Train speeding over the landscape while a major figure tries to get the briefcase at the heart of the plot. To now, advertising materials have kept most of the narrative involving these assassins hidden, so their role in the story is still mysterious. Still, owing to Isaka’s gripping work, we know what they’ll be up to. Zak Olkewicz, who authored the second instalment of the Fear Street trilogy, returns to write the screenplay for Leitch to direct.
Actor Leitch is used to working with a wide spectrum of talented people in fast-paced, high-energy settings. This should be an entertaining ride for everyone involved since in addition to working with the Merc with a Mouth, the director co-directed John Wick and directed Hobbs & Shaw. Producers Kelly McCormick and Antoine Fuqua, as well as executive producers Ryosuke Saegusa, Yuma Terada, Brent O’Connor, and Kat Samick, will be riding shotgun with him on this exhilarating trip into the wilderness. Before the August 5th release date, tickets for the Bullet Train are on sale at ScreenX and 4DX.
