The Emmy-nominated animated series Central Park, now in its third season, has a release date for Apple TV+. Early in September, customers to the streaming service will be able to return to carofon New York City and rediscover the city’s most famous natural tourism wonder. The series will once again revolve around a man’s desire to make New Yorkers cherish the city’s most renowned park and a woman’s unwavering quest to destroy it. Before Season 2 ever aired, the program’s producers already had Season 3 in the works, a testament to how well the show has been received by fans and reviewers alike.
Every new episode of the series is accompanied by a slew of creative and often sardonic songs that speak to the narrative, modern living, and New York City in general. A total of 40 new songs will be added to Central Park’s renowned and extensive repertoire for the new season. It was also revealed that new characters would be introduced in Season 3 thanks to a fresh cast of guest actors. All four of these actors are also co-stars in Apple TV+’s The Afterparty, which also features Sam Richardson from Werewolves Within, Ike Barinholtz from The Mindy Project, Ben Schwartz from Parks and Recreation, and Zo Chao from Love Life.
This year’s guest list also includes Ron Funches from Loot, Jack McBrayer from 30 Rock, Amber Ruffin from Key and Peele, Craig Robinson from Killing It, and David Alan Grier from A Black Lady Sketch Show, as well as others. Loren Bouchard, Josh Gad, and Nora Smith (also of Bob’s Burgers) came up with the concept for Central Park. Showrunners Steven Davis and Kelvin Yu, who also create and produce Bob’s Burgers, will direct and executive produce the musical animated comedy. Josh Gad, Tituss Burgess, Daveed Diggs, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Emmy Raver-Lampman, Stanley Tucci, and Kristen Bell all lend their voices to the film’s ensemble cast. Season 3 of Central Park will include three episodes when it debuts on Apple TV+ on September 9. In the next weeks, the remaining 10 episodes will be released.
