The cast of Dave Chernin and John Chernin’s forthcoming film, Incoming, has been revealed in an exclusive by Deadline ahead of the film’s start of shooting in Los Angeles. The film will focus on a group of teenagers as they attempt to attend their first high school party and feel the dread that comes with the experience. Bobby Cannavale, who won two Primetime Emmy Awards for his roles in Will & Grace and Boardwalk Empire, and Kaitlin Olson, who was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for her part in Flipped, have been added to the cast. In addition to Cannavale and Olson, Scott MacArthur (The Righteous Gemstones) joins the project with Raphael Alejandro (Once Upon a Time).
Actress Isabella Ferreira, who recently starred in Love Victor, will also star in the film with Ali Gallo, Ramon Reed, Loren Gray, and Bardia Seiri, who appeared in Grey’s Anatomy, among others. However, it was already revealed that Mason Thames (The Black Phone) will be starring in the film. As production for Incoming nears completion, additional details about the roles the actors will be playing will be made public. The Chernin brothers are directing and co-writing the film, which will mark their feature directorial debut. In addition to co-creating The Mick, which starred Olson, the pair worked together on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia as writers.
Todd Garner, Peter Principato, and Ben Silverman of Artists Road will produce Incoming, together with Mark Korshak, CEO of Artist Road. Stoller Global Solutions Company’s Nick Stoller and Conor Welch are also producing the film. Peter Oillataguerre and Gary Barber, the CEO and Chairman of Spyglass Entertainment will serve as executive producers. Noah Nusinow will be in charge of the film’s production. This new film hasn’t released any narrative information or characters yet; however with the Chernin brothers directing their first picture together, coupled with a strong and award-winning ensemble, Incoming might be a fun and entertaining film that transports spectators back to their adolescent years. While production on Incoming has yet to begin, the film’s release date has not.
