According to Variety, the cast of USATV’s next female-led drama Second Chance has been cast. In addition to Denise Richards, AnnaLynne McCord, and Carolina Gaitàn, the series will include Alexis Ren (Deputy) and Tiffany Hines (Power Book III: Raising Kanan) (Magnum P.I.). It will be a 10-episode series that premieres internationally later this year, and it will be available on Netflix. During the course of Second Chance, three domestic cleaning professionals and their clients are seen attempting to overcome their pasts in order to forge a brighter future for themselves.
Marianna, a domestic worker who is played by Gaitàn (who also stars in the series as a transgender woman), is at the heart of the series that will touch on a wide range of modern problems, including LGBTQ rights, immigration, women’s equality, and organised crime. Marianna and Shira (Ren) and Jackie (Hines) will have to cope with “exceptional and perilous events” throughout the film. Luke Goss, Hannah Ware, Jake Manley & Jerry Ferrara will also appear in the new series (Entourage). The show is executive produced by USATV Productions. There is currently no information about the show’s cast or staff.
Richards made her big-screen debut as Carmen Ibanez in Starship Troopers after appearing in tiny roles on television programmes such as Married… with Children and Saved by the Bell. As a result, she landed prominent parts in films like The World is Not Enough, Wild Things, and Love Actually, all starring in the James Bond series. Paper Empire is her most recent television appearance, but she also has a number of future projects, including Saturday at the Starlight. McCord, on the other hand, is most known for her recurring role on 90210 and a smattering of small-screen appearances, including Excision (2012).
Conditions of Return will be her next on-screen appearance after Titanic 666. As Pepa Madrigal in Disney’s Encanto, Gaitàn is most known for his roles in Spanish-language television shows like Sin Senos S Hay Paraiso and El Final del Paraiso. In addition, she had a brief cameo in the critically acclaimed Netflix series Narcos. The Graham McTavish-directed Perfidious and the Andres Beltran thriller Quicksand are among the projects she’s working on at the moment. The worldwide release of Second Chance is scheduled for later this year.
