“Dr Death” anthology series is returning for a second season. The Wondery podcast-based true-crime show will return for a second season on the streaming service. Dr Christopher Duntsch (played by Joshua Jackson) was the centre of Season 1, but a new character will be the focus of Season 2: surgeon Paolo Macchiarini. Following Bel-Air, Rutherford Falls, Girls5eva, and more, Peacock has renewed Dr Death for a second season. Surgeon Macchiarini, who has been nicknamed “Miracle Man” for his inventive methods, will be the subject of Season 2. When Benita Alexander, an investigative journalist, asks to write about Macchiarini, the lines between personal and professional life begin to blur.
Macchiarini goes to great measures to protect his secrets while a group of physicians throughout the world uncover some surprising findings of their own that only serve to raise additional concerns about the “Miracle Manidentity. “‘A disgraced neurosurgeon whose career resulted in the maiming and deaths of more than 38 individuals was the subject of Dr Death Season 1, which debuted last year. To put an end to Dr Duntsch’s reign of terror, two doctors teamed up with the Assistant District Attorney as the death toll began to soar.
Rotten Tomatoes gave the programme a 100% rating and it garnered a Critics Choice nomination for Best Limited Series. Ashley Season 2 showrunner Patrick MacManus has been replaced by Michel Hoban, who will write and direct the second season. As well as the aforementioned individuals from Wondery and Escape Artists, the executive producers include Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, and Taylor Latham from Escape Artists. The show will be produced by Universal City Productions, a unit of Universal Studio Group. Currently, there is no indication of who will be cast.

Peacock is now streaming Season 1 of Dr. Death.
