The horrifying new Orphan: First Slaughter teaser shows Esther returned and ready to kill once more: Synopsis, Cast & Release Date

13 years after the original, the same actor returns to reprise his role in the bloodier horror prequel. As expected, Isabelle Fuhrman’s fresh-faced villain is terrorising another rich American family in the first teaser for Orphan: First Kill. A few years before the events in the original film’s sequel, this prequel-turned-sequel follows the escape of Leena Klammer, a woman with a hormone problem who was known as Esther in the previous film, to the United States.

It’s there that she takes on the identity of the missing daughter of Tricia and Allen Albright, Esther, and immediately settles into their house, but Tricia soon becomes persuaded that she’s not who she claims to be. You may view the teaser and synopsis above to get an idea of what’s to come in the film. Wife Leena/Esther spends her time drawing disturbing images and tries to keep the two of them apart since her husband Allen doesn’t believe her (or worse). As with its predecessor, it’s likely to have a few surprises in the works.

The clip’s most stunning feature, though, is how Fuhrman has been made to appear younger. No visual enhancements were utilised to make the 25-year-old actress seem younger when she produced the twisted original, according to rumours. When you consider that Fuhrman was once a pre-teen playing a 33-year-old masquerading as a nine-year-old and is now in her mid-20s portraying an even younger version of the same role, it’s sort of surreal. I was like, ‘Oh, an adult has never reprised the character that they performed as a child,'” she told The Hollywood Reporter(opens in new tab) last year. “I enjoy the challenge of being able to portray a youngster since it’s never historically been done in cinema,” she said.

While Will Smith recently appeared in a film where someone was de-aged, it has never been done before to reprise a part that you played as a child.” It’s near-impossible to achieve. And that’s exactly what we did. No special effects, no wild makeup tactics were used in the making of this film.” This is what makes the film work because you can’t figure out how I look like a 9-year-old, but I do. “It’s a little unnerving.” Scream writer David Coggeshall and The Boy’s William Brent Bell have written and directed Orphan: First Kill, which will be released on August 19. This film will only be available in the UK’s multiplexes.
