Post-credits scenes are always a treat for Ms Marvel. After the main style credits, a famous MCU character is brought back in a brief segment that sets up Kamala Khan’s future journey. Take this as your spoiler alert before we get into the specifics. To avoid spoilers for Ms Marvel episode 6, make sure you’ve seen the conclusion before continuing. In her new Ms Marvel suit, Kamala (Iman Vellani) collapses on her bed in the opening post-credits sequence. That does not seem like science homework to her mother Muneeba, who can be heard yelling in the background.
The bracelet glows before Kamala has a chance to say no. In the midst of her examination, she collapses through the door of her bedroom closet and disappears from view. A person emerges from the cabinet after a little pause. However, Captain Marvel, not Kamala, is the real deal (played by Brie Larson). Before she understands where she is, the Kree warrior’s fingertips twitch with bright purple power. Her gaze wanders to Kamala’s room, which is decorated with tributes to the late actress, including posters and paintings. Before the picture goes dark, she exclaims, “Oh no, no, no.” An announcement is made that “Ms Marvel is coming back to the MCU in The Marvels” just after that.
The post-credits sequence in Ms Marvel explains Captain Marvel’s cameo appearance. What exactly occurred there? Kamala returns to the MCU in The Marvels, according to the post-credits sequence. Kamala, Captain Marvel, and WandaVision’s Monica Rambeau feature in this next sequel to Captain Marvel (Teyonah Parris). However, the post-credits sequence reveals Kamala and Captain Marvel have swapped places in this film. A connection between their powers is also implied by this statement. This might be because their energy-based skills are so comparable, or the bangle itself could be playing a part in their connection.
Her great-grandmother left Kamala one bracelet, but the second was lost. It’s possible that Captain Marvel stumbled across it, which would explain the relationship. Only once before in Ms Marvel has there been a similar event, when Kamala was taken back in time to Karachi. It was her great-bracelet grandmother’s that summoned her, and she returned to save her grandmother from certain death during the partition of Indian subcontinent. It’s not apparent where Kamala has ended up in this situation, especially because Carol Danvers hasn’t revealed what she’s been up to recently.
A post-credits clip from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings showed us where she had been since our previous encounter. When the Ten Rings first materialised, she appeared as a hologram and spoke to Wong (Benedict Wong), Katy (Awkwafina), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) about their origins. Is she going to Kamala’s house after a call comes in at the end of the scene? In that sequence, her hair resembles this one, which is noticeably longer than in Avengers: Endgame.
However, the fact that she’s wearing a brand-new suit suggests that this photo was taken at some point in the distant past. To put it another way, we’re left with many questions about where we’re going with these characters and how this ties into The Marvels. In the meanwhile, we’ll have to wait until July 28, 2023, when the film is released in theatres, to obtain any answers.
