Teaser Trailer for ‘What Josiah Said!’ A haunting and eerie Horror film: Synopsis & Release Date & More Updates

A new teaser for AMC Networks’ forthcoming horror-thriller What Josiah Saw has been released ahead of its August 4, 2022 launch on Shudder, the premium streaming service dedicated to all things terrifying. Josiah, played by Robert Patrick, tells his youngest son, Thomas (Scott Haze), that there is a method to “rescue his mother,” who is shown hanging from the tree. Only Josiah and Thomas remain at their family’s ancient farmhouse, which the townspeople believe to be haunted, along with the rest of their estranged relatives.

For the 1st time in more than two decades, Josiah’s eldest children Eli (Nick Stahl) and Mary (Kelli Garner) come to the family house with the hopes of selling the ageing property and putting the past behind them once and for all. Upon their return home, they find that their father has been experiencing “visions from beyond” and has taken the decision to rectify the tremendous wrongs of his family’s past, which they were unaware of. Craig Engler, the general manager of Shudder, spoke to Deadline about the film and its creative team. What a masterfully produced, spooky and tragic film Vincent, Robert, and the rest of the cast and crew have put together.” It’s a narrative that sticks with you, and the ensemble cast does an outstanding job of bringing it to life via their standout performances.

Having it live on Shudder and sharing it with our subscribers is a big deal to us.” Currently, the film has a 91% Rotten Tomatoes rating based on 22 reviews after its international premiere in 2021 at the Fantasia Film Festival. His prior credits include Coldwater and And Then I Go. This is his first horror-thriller picture, and it’s his third directorial effort. Grashaw told Deadline in an interview:
“Shudder is the appropriate place for this eerie video that I’ve been living with for a long time. ‘ I was apprehensive about tackling my first horror/thriller, so I’m thankful that it’s in the hands of folks who know how to do it well. What will happen to them? I can’t wait to find out. “It’s the time!”

In 2009, Robert Alan Dilts wrote a short film called Eliki, and this is his first attempt at a feature-length script. He is also a producer alongside Ran Namerode, Bernie Stern, and Angelia Adzic on the picture. Cole Payne and Haze serve as the film’s executive producers.
On August 4, Shudder will premiere What Josiah Saw.
