The riddle is not yet solved. At this time, Hulu has only decided to order a third season of the show Murders in the Building. This news comes just a couple of weeks after the premiere of season 2 on the streaming app, in which Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) are at the centre of yet another shocking murder. This time, Bunny Folger (Jane Houdyshell), president of the Arconia Board, is the victim.
As suspicions grow, the three individuals become the focus of a rival true-crime podcast, which causes practically all of the residents in the building to turn against them. The first season was nominated for both the Critics’ Choice Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy Series, as well as Best Actor for both Martin and Short. It also set a new record for most viewers of any Hulu Original comedy series. Martin and John Hoffman are the creators and writers of the programme.
John Hoffman has previously contributed to the writing staff of the television shows Looking on HBO and Grace and Frankie on Netflix.
The renewal was announced by Craig Erwich, President of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, who stated that Only Murders in the Building is the “real crown gem” of the slate of original programming. “Its appeal across generations, the junction of comedy and heart, and its really innovative approach are hallmarks of the work that Dan, John, Steve, Marty, and Selena have created, and they are a monument to their creativity.
We are thankful that we are able to continue delivering the stories of Charles, Oliver, and Mabel to viewers who have repeatedly demonstrated that they desire more of this story. At this time, only seasons 1 and 2 of Murders in the Building are available to view on Hulu.
