In the Sahara in Erfoud, Morocco, production for Netflix’s The Witcher Season 3 is presently underway, and it appears that the Witcher family is constantly expanding. Redanian Intelligence has confirmed that the upcoming season will feature six new cast members. Season 3 cast members include Ryan Hayes, Michalina Olszanska, Kate Winter, Martyn Ellis, Harvey Quinn, and Poppy Almond. Season 2 concludes with Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer finally coming together as a unit. As Geralt and Ciri connect over the latter’s training, viewers saw their own relationship blossom. The Wild Hunt, the season’s main villain, was also shown in one of the closing images of the series. The dynamics of the new family will be fascinating to see in the future season.
Even while not much is known at this time, the casting suggests great things are in store. Hayes plays the magician Artaud Terranova, who according to the literature was one of the mages involved in Ciri’s captivity and the Thanedd uprising. An impressive list of credits includes such films as Chance (2022), Carnival Row (2019), and Culture Shock (2012). Olszanska will also play a mage, although it isn’t clear which one just yet. The Irish actor was recently sighted filming in Wales alongside The Witcher magicians Mahesh Jadu, Safiyya Ingar, and others. Her prior work includes the Polish Netflix series 1983, as well as I, Olga and Carga, to name just a few.
Quinn and Almond, two new magicians joining the cast, were also sighted filming along with the other mages of the series. In addition, Winter has been cast as Putney, while Ellis has been cast as Barker in the film. Robbie Amell, Hugh Skinner, Meng’er Zhang and Christelle Elwin were previously added to the cast as regulars.
