Vengeance, the latest black comedy from B.J. Novak, recounts the escapades of a city-boy writer and podcaster who travel to West Texas to investigate the unexplained murder of a female he was seeing (casually, of course). The film’s first official poster was posted on social media by Novak. At the Tribeca Film Festival in June, Vengeance debuted and will be released on July 29, 2022. Novak wrote and directed Vengeance, which is his first film as a filmmaker. A New York City podcaster and journalist named Ben Manalowitz (played by Novak) sets off from New York City to West Texas to investigate the murder of a past fling. When Ben first arrives, he takes advantage of the opportunity to observe the eccentricities of small-town life in Texas, smirking at the people’s ridiculous conspiracy ideas.
Ben, on the other hand, is going to have to risk his life in order to unearth the truth about his ex-death, girlfriend and whatever more nefarious reality her death may reveal. With a backdrop of sepia-toned, coarse paper grain, the new poster is more Western in style. The film’s title is prominently displayed in neon, complete with a little Texas flag fluttering in the background. A modest roadside diner and a blazing Toyota Prius are depicted underneath the title, which perfectly captures the film’s mood.
The poster features Novak’s Ben as the poster’s most prominent character. He’s using podcasting headphones and has his face revealed in his profile. Ashton Kutcher’s cowboy role, Issa Rae, and Dove Cameron make up the rest of the supporting cast below him. There’s also an unsettling message on the poster: “Find the tale before it finds you.”
In the vein of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building and the upcoming series Bodkin, the film seems to be a fascinating and thrilling view into the mysterious world of tiny towns as well as a red-hot jab at the world of investigative true-crime podcasts. Focus Features and Blumhouse Productions made Vengeance. The project was first revealed in March 2020 and was anticipated to begin production shortly afterwards. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, development was paused on numerous 2020 film projects. The new production was scheduled to begin in 2021. Here’s a peek at the brand-new poster for the film. On the 29th of July, 2022, the film Vengeance will be released in cinemas.
