Actress Tessa Thompson discusses her experience working with director Michael B. Jordan on “Creed III.”

She has previously played a range of roles in her career. She has just wrapped filming on Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder as well as Season 4 of Westworld, in which she stars. Fans can’t wait to hear about her involvement in Creed III, in which she spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about working with Michael B. Jordan, who will be both co-starring in the film and directing it. Thompson is Donnie’s (Jordan’s) love interest and a singer-songwriter, therefore the two get a lot of screen time together.

To put it another way, she had a lot of pleasure working on “Creed III” due to her strong bond with director Michael B. Jordan. Creed III is Jordan’s directorial debut, having been in charge of the franchise since 2015. Thompson said that working with him in that environment was an unusual experience for her: It was fascinating because it made me wonder what it would be like for Mike to be both a scene partner and a director at the same time. We were conducting scene work, and he was really immersed in the experience. We were able to quickly re-enter the world of those characters. The only difference was the passing of time.

The scene would be performed in front of him, and he’d have to view it on the monitor from time to time. That was a new experience for me, to say the least. But dynamically, we were simply in the midst of our routine. Additionally, Thompson noted that Jordan provided her with a lot of latitude in developing her character and that the two of them worked together to give Bianca greater responsibility. A lot of work has gone into making sure that she has agency and a story arc in the framework of these sports movies in the past,” she says.

Aside from making the story go forward, I wanted to make sure she had something fascinating to do. In addition, she stated: For the most part, I’ve done that work with the authors, but this time, I was able to work more actively with Mike. On this particular day, I was much freer to improvise than I had been in the past. That was a new experience for me since he offered me so much freedom. However, it had no effect on the relationship between these two individuals. It also features Phylicia Rashad (Woody Harris), Florian Munteanu (Johnathon Majors), and Wood Harris (Florian Munteanu). The current release date for the film is slated for Wednesday, November 23.
