Hypochondriac is a new horror film about a guy plagued by flashbacks to his youth and glimpses of the future. Will, a gay potter, loses control of his life as his darkest memories come to life in the film starring Zach Villa. Will sits alone in the corner of an empty room in the trailer’s opening scene. We quickly discover why the man appears to be upset. Will is being stalked by a demonic monster with sharp jaws and glowing yellow eyes. The fact that only Will is able to see this beast hiding in the shadows to ambush its prey raises more than a few doubts about his mental stability.
Even though Will’s illness has been linked to stress, he will do whatever it takes to find out what is causing it. A medical ailment known as hypochondria, which causes patients to self-diagnose and misuse drugs, is the inspiration for the film’s title, Hypochondriac. We also get a look at Will’s life before he starts getting hunted by the monster in the video. Will has a career as a potter that he appears to like. In addition to that, he has a wonderful lover that is there for him at all times. It’s fair to argue that Will’s daily routine is admirable even if no one can claim a flawless existence for himself.
Will, on the other hand, is forced to confront the horrors of his past after he collapses for no apparent reason. After his mother attempted to kill him as a youngster, Will’s mother ended up in the care of a mental institution. Aside from wondering whether or not he is descended from his mother’s mental health concerns, Will begins to see things that no one else can. Addison Heimann makes his feature film directorial debut with Hypochondriac, a script he also directed. Devon Graye, Paget Brewster, Marlene Forte, Madeline Zima, Yumarie Morales, and Chris Doubek also appear in the film. On the 29th of July, the movie Hypochondriac will be released in theatres. On August 4, the film will be made accessible digitally and on video-on-demand (VOD).
