Ranveer Singh went to great lengths to get a flower from the depths of the Siberian jungle for his wife, Deepika Padukone. Within thirty-six hours, Bear Grylls becomes his guide and helps him make his way through the jungle. The episode begins with Ranveer presenting a case. This time around, the hero is the one who is on the receiving end of the pursuit, rather than the other way around. Bear Grylls comes to his aid when he is trapped on a cliff, and he is taken by helicopter to the group’s base camp.
Bear briefs him on the regulations and assists him in getting ready for the almost two-day journey while they are in the helicopter. In the meantime, an enthusiastic Ranveer outlines his preparations for the trip, including the fact that he would not come home without bringing his wife Deepika Padukone a rare purple flower. Just before they are thrown down another cliff, and at the beginning of their adventure where the audience helps them along the way.
The first choice available to Ranveer during the interactive session is whether or not he would be allowed to carry a flare or a rope gun. Although some of the choices made later in the programme are only for comedic effect, there are a select few others that have the potential to significantly alter the way the episode plays out. In the midst of the perilous voyage, Bear and Ranveer also have heart-to-heart conversations, during which the actor reveals his love for his wife, the story of how the two of them met, and the significance of the adventure experience for him.
Ranveer disclosed that Deepika had urged him to embark on the adventure at a time when he was beginning to experience feelings of being very phoney or artificial. While this was going on, Bear kept referring to him as a hopeless romantic throughout the entire episode. At one point, he questioned Deepika about her potential response to the purple flower, and Ranveer was confident that she would respond “Thank you, baby” before moving on to other things in the course of her day. Ranveer was curious about Deepika’s reaction.
The banter that Bear shared with Ranveer was superior to that which he shared with other performers such as Vicky Kaushal and Ajay Devgn. Because of the participatory choices, the show was not only more perilous but also far more enjoyable to watch. However, as was to be expected, there were a few instances of excessive drama that made one want to roll one’s eyes, and Bear couldn’t even get over them himself.
