Mirzapur star Pankaj Tripathi, well known for his role as the despicable Akhandanand Tripathi AKA Kaleen Bhaiya, is now preparing for the highly anticipated third season of the programme. Recently, the actor discussed the programme and provided fans with some insight into what to anticipate from the upcoming season. For those who are unaware, one of the successful releases on Amazon Prime Video in India is titled Mirzapur. The storyline of this drama, which debuted in 2018, centres on a family of gangsters and a new gang leader who, after enduring a great deal of grief and treachery, took a stand against Kaleen Bhaiya.
At the conclusion of the second season, Guddu ascended the vacant throne of Mirzapur and assumed the role of king. Pankaj Tripathi has cautioned followers to get themselves ready for a very interesting new season, which comes at a time when fans have been wondering what lies ahead for the Tripathis. Talking to Koimoi he added, “Tayar hojao bohot khatarnak script aane wali hai. Abhi puri sunne wala hoon to mujhe kuch idea nhi hai. Mera costume trial kal parso mein hoga ye bata sakta hoon. (You might want to brace yourselves since a “khatarnak” script is on its way. I have not finished listening to it yet, so I cannot say anything about it at this time; however, I will be practising in my costume over the next several days. Can give you that much information)”
Tripathi said that he is looking forward to working with Gurmeet Singh, who is one of his most admired filmmakers, and that he is pleased about the opportunity. In addition to this, he shed light on the activities that Kaleen will be involved in during the third season by saying, “Kaha jaega woh to pata nahi, authors decide karenge.” I’m going to take a shot at the par dhyan deta hoon.
Both the writing and the post-production stages will be completed. Mera kaam utna hi hai na, mera kaam bichme ata hai. Meri responsibility utni hi hai.” (As for the direction in which the programme will travel, it will be up to the writers. My only concentration is on performing, rather than writing or working in post-production. That’s my responsibility,)” The programme also features Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi, and Rasika Dugal, all of whom play important parts in addition to Pankaj Tripathi.
